Coca Cola Africa - Best Employer 2026 image

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa has been recognised as a Top Employer in Africa for 2026, underscoring the group’s continued focus on people development, workplace culture and organisational performance across the continent.

The regional certification, awarded by the Top Employers Institute, marks the second consecutive year that CCBA has secured Africa-wide recognition. In parallel, seven countries within its operating footprint — Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda — have been certified as Top Employers at national level.

The 2026 results highlight both consistency and expansion. CCBA’s operations in Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda retained their country-level certification, with all four improving their scores year on year. Botswana, Kenya and Mozambique achieved certification for the first time, reflecting broader progress in people practices across the group.

The Top Employers Institute operates in 125 countries and regions and is regarded as a global authority on workplace certification, benchmarking and advisory services. Organisations are assessed through its HR Best Practices Survey, which evaluates performance across six key domains: people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity, equity and inclusion, and wellbeing.

Natasa Prodanovic, chief people and culture officer at CCBA, said the recognition reflected a long-term commitment to building careers rather than simply filling roles. “This certification demonstrates our commitment to unparalleled professional growth for our people, providing an exciting journey of learning and development within a passionate, caring team,” she said.

CCBA, one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in Africa, operates across multiple markets with a workforce spanning manufacturing, logistics, sales and commercial functions. Prodanovic said investment in people remained central to the company’s growth ambitions. “We thrive on delivering beloved Coke brands, making a positive impact on communities, and achieving market success together,” she said. “We invest in our people to foster an inclusive and thriving workplace that accelerates our growth.”

She added that the company’s approach was designed to empower employees to take ownership of their careers. “At CCBA, we don’t hand you a role, we create an opportunity, give you the tools and we challenge you to build a career, to make it yours.”

The recognition comes as multinational employers across Africa face increasing competition for skills, particularly in technical, digital and leadership roles. For CCBA, the expanded country-level certifications signal a strategic effort to standardise people practices while allowing for local adaptation, as the group continues to scale operations across diverse African markets.
