London’s AfroEuropa Gala & Awards has fast become a red-letter night on the city’s multicultural calendar — a high-gloss evening where Africans, Caribbeans and Europeans come together to celebrate excellence, service and unity. Founded and convened by media entrepreneur Maureen Layokun (Publisher, Charming Magazine), the gala was created “out of a passion for promoting peace, unity and love for all,” and it returns for its 4th edition on Saturday, 4 October 2025 at Oasis Banqueting Suites, Barking (IG11 0HZ).

Since its launch, AfroEuropa has welcomed civic leaders, entrepreneurs and celebrities. By 2024, the awards had moved to Barking for the 3rd edition, themed Synergy: A Natural Law. Winners included Barrister Jenny Okafor, Terhas Hagos and Dr Abbey Akinoshun, recognised for leadership, impactful service and philanthropy.
